Lei Tong's artistic creation spans a variety of media, taking social intervention works as the main line, integrating pop culture, street culture and subcultural interests, and using the curatorial perspective to connect the creation and expression. Taking Guilin Disney Project as the clue, this paper compiles a pop-cartoon narration of Disney's global landscape and Guilin's geo-culture. To shape the identity orientation in the process of globalization from a historical perspective and play the role of individuals who experience and observe, state and puzzle in the dynamic process.
Lei Tong was born in 1989 in Guilin, Guangxi and currently lives and works in Beijing. His works include Landscape, Disney Project etc., and he participated and curated in Temporary Residence Permit 2015, Big Biennial 2015, The Castle 2016, Paris Night in Shijiazhuang 2019, Guilin Disney Project 2018, Chicken Landscape etc..
