Chen Paian, born in 1988 in Guangzhou, China, now based in Shanghai. Chen studied sculpture at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and has since engaged in painting practice.
The artist uses vector drawing and acrylic face mount microblast output as his main creative media. Influenced by the commodity paintings of the early reform and opening up period and the western minimalist art of the 20th century, and out of the urgent need to create a timeless style of painting, he refines and reorganizes the elements of paradigmatic painting and presents them in the form of flat and smooth industrial products.
