Wang Xuan, born in Guangxi, China in 1979, graduated from the department of oil painting of Guangxi Arts University in 2002. From 2005 to 2011, studied at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe. as the disciple of Professor Erwin Gross and earned a master and meister duo degree. Now lives and works in

Munich.

Wang Xuan combines classic images from European and Chinese art with everyday items in his work. He mixes unrelated things in unexpected ways, making classical icons seems out of place and time. His style blends traditional art with modern touches that might look like mistakes but surprisingly creates a balanced effect.

These images become more like symbols than specific messages. In doing so, Wang's art focuses more on his personal expression rather than carrying deep, philosophical meanings.
